Ophthalmologist​​​​​​​

Spencer E. Ludlow, M.D is a board-certified ophthalmologist. He grew up in a military family and lived in many places around the country including North Carolina, Oregon, California, Utah, and also spent 9 years in Japan.  He attended Brigham Young University for his graduate studies and received his medical degree at the Ohio State university College of Medicine.
 
Dr Ludlow then completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. With his final year working as chief resident.  He completed his service in the U.S. Army as the Chief ophthalmologist at Fort Jackson, S.C., joining Eyecare Associates in 2014.
 
During his time in the military, he had an opportunity to provide surgical care to injured service members and veterans, and to participate in humanitarian missions providing eye surgeries in Africa and South America.  These experiences creased a deep appreciation as to the quality of care available in our country.  Dr. Ludlow enjoys seeing patients of all ages for their acute or chronic eye diseases and routine eye care.
 
Dr. Ludlow and his wife Chrissy have four children, and he enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, playing piano, and spending time together as a family.
